Recently I haven't been able to blog to often on any of my blogs because I have been bombarded with work and I don't think I'll be free until after January. So in the past few months I've thought about what I would do and I've decided to start a review of certain dramas. This would be a Episode Synopsis with a few pics in each, however I will only be able to start this when I have some free time (which I don't know when). I hope to get this started soon so it will be first on my list after next year. Don't expect any of the series to be the latest series airing as it won't be because I'm starting with the old ones.
I'll probably begin with Sangdoo Let's Go To School - to all those out there who criticize it I think it was a sweet drama and deserves praise as it is Rain's debut drama. Also the ending I thought was good (Major Spoiler highlight to see) whether if they died or not doesn't matte..
I'll then probably go to projects like Hana Kimi and once I finish watching A Love To Kill, KO One, The X Family, Romantic Princess, Devil Beside You etc I'll start bloggin them. For some bigger projects these will have to wait until later (the bigger projects I'm talking about are TVB series because there generally longer than there Taiwanese or Korean counterparts but I'll be very likely to also start with some older ones and then get to the newer ones like Heart of Greed and Drive of Life but these will be way further in the future.
So this is my plan and I promise to try to blog these up in the next year but I can't say whether I'll be able to get everything here on.

I am generally pleased with this years results, unlike last years I was shocked and dissatisfied overall, however there was some unexpected things in this years awards.
Firstly if anyone has read my first post you'll know my favourites for each award so I'll be referring to those quite often.
Best Actor
Firstly I think it's really good to get some people outside of TVB to present the awards to make the whole thing more interesting and Kathy Chow was definitely a good choice, however I think one year they should do something like gather all the past winners to announce the winner (hopefully something like that will happen in 2008). Well as you should know my nominations were Bobby, Ha Yu, Moses, Damian and Raymond, and expectedly all went through to the top 5. Personally I didn't think any other of the top 20 would enter if TVB was really trying to congratulate the Top 5 of the year, But I did think TVB may just sneak Roger Kwok in the Top 5. I'm slightly amazed though that they actually put Ha Yu in aswell as I thought they wouldn't do, but anyway all the better for me. Anyway I think everyone believed Moses Chan had 99% chance to get the award because (i) he is getting to that age (ii) he hasn't got Best Actor before (iii) he was very good in HOG. Anyway I thought if Raymond was nominated for HOG also he would have been in better contention that for TDOL. Bobby Au Yeung should also be praised and whilst I'm on that note I will congratulate Bosco Wong in DB because he was very good and I would have actually taken Damian out if he was nominated for DB.
Best Actress
Well the female award was easily predicted aswell I thought though it didn't suit my tastes 100%. Charmaine,Jessica, Louise, Susanna and Sheren were nominated. Generally I support Sheren to be nominated each year and maybe I think she should have won the award last year and for War & Beauty but this year I thought there were better actors than her so I was a tad dissapointed, but I expected it anyway as Michelle Yim would never have been nominated even though she performed really well (waiting for HOG II where Michelle will play a bigger part). Though I don't think the following people should be nominated I just want to congratulate them in their series, these are Tavia Yeung, Linda Chung, Sonija Kwok I thought these three were underrated this year in the awards so I had to talk about them in this post, Also I'm annoyed that Myolie had no chance of getting anything this year with her lack of series. Though it was expected that Louise would win I thought that Jessica should have won it instead but because she has changed contract TVB would never give it to her.
Best Supporting Actor
This award was always going to be difficult for me and though I thought Benz Hui was the best the other 4 I chose were also deserving. Personally I thought Evergreen Mak and Chris Lai were also good nominees but instead the stupid Wong Cho Lam was nominated, to be honest the series he was nominated for was a flop and he didn't act great in it so I am dissapointed but Ng Wai Kwok was a better choice however I didn't think he was top 5 material. Well anyway I thought Louis Yuen was a good choice to give this award to but personally I thought Benz and Paul were better than him.
Best Supporting Actress
Except for Halina Tam my top 5 were in including Fala Chen. I personally wouldn't comment on whether Fala Chen was good or bad in Steps as I haven't seen it but I don't think she deserved the award yet because firstly she is only a newcomer and secondly she needs to go through the process of most improved before she can get anywhere into the Best categories. I think Mary Hon deserves this award but for an older actor/actress to win an award they need huge backup from the audience. But I guess I guess right that Fala Chen would sneak in and steal the award because non of the ones I chose were heavily promoted by TVB.
Favourite Male Character
Personally I thought that Moses Chan shouldn't really have got this award though I thought his character was very good. The problem here is that I though Bobby deserved something this year but he wasn't as good an actor as Moses in DB, his character wasn't as favoured as Moses or Raymond and his fanbase in China isn't as large as Raymond's so I guess he couldn't have won anything but he deserves some recommendation for DB. Personally though I liked Bosco's character in DB more than Bobby so I chose Bosco to be in the top instead however it was still Bobby who got in. One thing that really annoyed me was that Wong Chi Wah was nominated for a series that not many people liked because of it's language issues so really they should have given a nomination to someone else e.g. Roger Kwok or Joe Ma but they had to give it to Wong Chi Wah. Anyway I thought Raymond should have won the award but because Raymond would win the Mainland most favourite Actor award they couldn't give him another award as it would make him look better than Moses. But I think character wise I liked Ha Yu and Raymond more than Moses.
Favourite Female Character
Personally I don't think Susanna's character was a top 5 competitor for me as her character was not as good as some others. I think Jessica, Tavia and Linda's character should have filled in the top 5 aswell because their characters were really interesting so besides Charmaine and Louise I thought the other three shouldn't have been in though I know Hong Kong really liked Gigi Lai's Character in TUCF. But Susanna's character was given this award because hk liked her here and they needed to give her something or there would be an uproar.
Most Improved Actor
Personally i thougth that Chris was deserving of this award but it is true that Amigo has been heavily supported by TVB.
Most Improved Actress
For this award i think i may should properly read it before i judge because it says most improved rather than best out of the five. If you are looking for most improved Kate is your girl because she has improved since last year whilst the other nominated girls haven't really improved and how can Fala Chen improve when she hasn't acted before.
I think the mainland awards are TVB's way of "Sharing the Pork" as the Chinese say, it is also a way to allow TVB to say who they are supporting.
On the men's side I don't know why Ron would be nominated compared to the other actors (I'm not saying he isn't good because I thought he did well in On the First Beat) as I don't think the Chinese really know him so I am quite sure that TVB put him in there.
However I amazed if what I just said was right that how come Myolie isn't in the top 5 for the female side seeing that she wasn't nominated for a thing in the award ceremony (poor Myolie). But other than Shirley you can see that the other four are favoured by TVB, it's a way for TVB to say that if we could have our way then this would be what would have happened.
On the whole I thought Dicey Business, The Brink of Law, The Drive of Life should have been congratulated more because I thought they were good series. I'm also amazed that Ten Brothers didn't get anything seeing that the series was probably the first series to rate so highly in the year (Probably because both Kenix and Frankie have left TVB). Next Year I want to see more of Myolie, Ada, Tavia, Michelle Yim.
Overall my congratulations this year go to
Male: Bobby Au Yeung, Ha Yu, Moses Chan, Michael Tao, Ron Ng, Bosco Wong, Raymond Lam, Paul Chun, Benz Hui, Evergreen Mak, Chris Lai, Louis Yuen, Michael Tse and Chris Lai.
Female: Liza Wang, Charmaine Sheh, Jessica Hsuan, Tavia Yeung, Michelle Yim, Myolie Wu, Shirley Yeung, Louise Lee, Susanna Kwan, Linda Chung, Sheren Tang, Kiki Sheung, Sonija Kwok, Christine Ng, Kate Tsui, Bernice Liu, Fala Chen, Gigi Lai, Yoyo Mung, Florence Kwok, Mary Hon, Natalie Tong, Cecilia Yip.
Series: Glittering Days, Dicey Business, The Brink of Law, Best Bet, Heart of Greed, Family Link, On the First Beat, Drive of Life.
One's not listed in the congratulations I either forgot about you or (more likely) you don't deserve to be mentioned!!!

Best Actor- My Nominations
Bobby Au Yeung - Dicey Business
Ha Yu - Heart of Greed
Moses Chan - Heart of Greed
Damian Lau - The Drive of Life
Raymond Lam - The Drive of Life
I thought that as I haven't seen The Conquest, On the First Beat, Steps, Men Don't Cry and The Ultimate Crime Fighter I wouldn't choose those but generally I don't think the actors there would win awards anyway.
I found it hard therefore to choose 5 actors.
Bobby Au Yeung had to be in the top 5 as he acted his role in Dicey Business well and I thought he deserves the top 5. Ha Yu is also very good in HOG and it's very likely he'll be overlooked for the top 5 as he's an older actor but he did well. Moses Chan in HOG was also very good and many believe he'll take the award. After the top three there it was hard to choose Best Actors.
Personally it was the Drive of Life cast against Roger Kwok. In the end I thought TDOL did better so I chose Damian Lau and Raymond Lam who I thought were the better two in that series. I like Raymond Lam though but if he was chosen for HOG I would have voted for him more because he acted better in HOG than TDOL that is why I'm so annoyed with TVB's rule now that an actor can only be nominated once (and they always choose the drama which was more expensive) Anyway I hope it will be a tussle between Bobby and Moses which Moses should win because of all his hard work. Also I am annoyed that Bosco wasn't nominated for Dicey Business because he did much better there.
Best Actress
Charmaine Sheh - Glittering Days
Jessica Hsuan - Dicey Business
Michelle Yim - The Brink of Law
Lee Si Kei - Heart of Greed
Susanna Kwan - Heart of Greed
I personally had a difficult time with this one as Linda Chung was also on my list and Tavia Yeunf was also very close up aswell however in the end Lee Si Kei, Susanna Kwan and Charmaine Sheh took the other three spots along with Michelle Yim and Jessica Hsuan, personally i thought the later two did better in there series. Many would argue that Lee Si Kei and Susanna Kwan were better in HOG but I thought Lee Si Kei tended to be a bit stiff sometimes and Susanna didn't have the overall package with mainly her argueing scenes as the best. Personally I think Michelle Yim should win as she was very good in The Brink of Law but Jessica was also good in Dicey Business however she's won it before so let Michelle win. However I know on the day it won't be like this and probably Linda, Sheren or Gigi will take Michelle Yim's spot.
Best Supporting Actor
Paul Chun - Glittering Days
Benz Hui - Dicey Business
Evergreen Mak - Life Art
Lai Lok Yi - Heart of Greed
Louis Yuen - Heart of Greed
These are the five I thought were the best supporting actors this year. Personally I think they all did well in there characters but I would pick Evergreen Mak and Benz Hui as the top two but It will probably go to Benz Hui as I think Chris Lai will win Most Improved and Life Art wasn't a success.
Best Supporting Actress
Halina Tam - Glittering Days
Florence Kwok - On the First Beat
Gigi Wong - The Drive of Life
Mary Hon - Fathers and Sons
Natalie Tong - The Ultimate Crime Fighter
I sort of cheated here because I haven't seen On the First Beat or The Ultimate Crime Fighter instead I chose the two actresses from previous performances. I think though that all of them were Ok so I wouldn't mind whoever out of them wins but I think Fala Chen may sneak in and get the prize as she is backed up strongly by TVB or maybe even Toby Leung!
Most Favourite Male Character
Bosco Wong as Cheung Loi Fu - Dicey Business
Ha Yue as Bao Bao - Heart of Greed
Moses Chan as Dak Dak Dei - Heart of Greed
Raymond Lam as Alfred - Heart of Greed
Joe Ma as Ngai Wing Piew - The Drive of Life
These are my five favourite male characters this year, Bosco's character was really interesting I thought as Cheung Loi Fu but I personally have to say Raymond's character caught me the most, talking about it now makes my eyes tear up because of what he did for Sheung Joi Sum in HOG so he is my favourite character. However I think Roger Kwok, Damien Lau, Bobby Au Yeung are strong competitors for the nominations (not that i think so) so probably my top 5 won't all be in there.
Most Favourite Female Character
Charmaine Sheh as Ah Lan - Glittering Days
Jessica Hsuan as Lee Ching Wan - Dicey Business
Tavia Yeung as Tam Chu Mei - Dicey Business
Lee Si Kei as Dai Kei - Heart of Greed
Linda Chung as Sung Joi Sum - Heart of Greed
Personally I liked these characters more and I found this as one of the hardest ones to pick as I also liked Liza Wang, Michelle Yim, Susanna Kwan and Kiki Sheung's characters but these five came out as my favourites, personally I will pick the Dicey Business cast and Linda Chung as my favourite characters whilst I liked Lee Si Kei's character because everytime Sai Kei did something aweful I was always looking forward to seeing her confrontation with Dai Kei and Charmaine's character was good aswell however I think TVB will give Susanna and Gigi a place in the top 5 so possibly Tavia and someone else will go from my list. This year however I'm also annoyed that Myolie hasn't been nominated for anything amazing so she has no chance and Ada's nowhere to be seen but she'll have two fantastic series next year!
Most Improved Actor
Jack Wu - Ten Brothers
Matthew Ko - Steps/ The Ultimate Crime Fighter
Stephen Huynh - Dicey Business/ Steps
Vin Choi - Brink of Law/ Best Selling Secrets
Lai Lok Yi - Glittering Days/ Ten Brothers/ Heart of Greed / Green Grass of Home
Personally in this list picking five was hard as basically none have really improved there just the same as usual but Chris Lai has definitely improved from the rest and has been constantly put in series by TVB so he'll win the award and I'm nearly 100% sure.
Most Improved Actress
Selina Li - Change of Destiny
Kate Tsui - On the First Beat/ Steps
Natalie Tong - Life Art/ The Green Grass of Home/ The Ultimate Crime Fighter
Fala Chen - Heart of Greed/ Family Link/ Steps
Bernice Liu - Brink of Law/Devil's Deciple/ Steps
I don't actually think any of the actresses have improved here but instead I'll pick out the ones that I think will be better next year.
Out of the 5 I picked generally i have because they are heavily promoted so will improve except for Selina Li who is only lightly promoted. Bernice Liu and Fala Chen I think will fight for this award from what I hear but except for these 5 Nancy Wu, Leila Tong and Sharon Chan are good aswell. Yoyo Chen did well in the Brink of Law and Toby Leung is just aweful!
Best Series
Glittering Days
Dicey Business
The Brink of Law
Heart of Greed
The Drive of Life
These are my 5 favourites of this year (Best Bet was also quite good I thought)
Most Favourite Host
Amigo Chui - Jade Solid Gold
Wong Yee Hing/ Suki Chui/ Sam Cheuk Ting - More than Words
Lydia Shum - Where are they Now
Miriam Yeung and Sammy Leung - Minutes to Fame
Choi Lan/ Vanessa Yeung - Market Trotter
I will have to choose Lydia Shum because she is so bubbily, hope she get's well soon.
Best Creativity
More Than Words
the Web
Only seen these 2 so I'll chose both
Best Variety Show
More than Words
Where Are They Now
Tohoku Travel
On the Road
Strictly Come Dancing
These five are I think my favourite ones
Haven't seen many promotional clips so i won't judge.
So in my wanted nominations Heart of Greed is associated with 14 nominations whilst Dicey Business is with 8, Glittering Days with 6 and The Drive of Life with 5
This year i think everyone will agree that Heart of Greed should be awarded as the most successful series!
