I generally like this series but I think the main reason why is the chemistry between Kenneth Ma and Ella Koon, the other parts of the series are either Ok or kind of boring. The cast is generally Ok but there lacks the huge star power to lift this series up. Sammul Chan is a good actor on the whole but I'm not interested in his character. Kenneth Ma I think is the guy that holds the series together really because his character is more engaging. I like Selena and Ella, Selena is really developing whilst Ella is an ok actor. What I really want is Selena to have a breakthrough role as in Survivor's Law and in Tai Chi her role just doesn't shine compared to others who are supporting characters. However Selena will be the leading ladies of the future once the 30 somethings ascend to Sheren-esque characters. On the whole this series is overall a pleasant series with a generally a well liked cast (by me) but what it lacks is the star quality and the script as when I'm watching it what I say in my head is - when will the Kenneth and Ella scenes come.
As I've missed blogging this series I've decided to put a relationships part:
Waise Lee and Rebecca Chan (Brandon and Brenda):
I remember Waise acting since "Mind our Own Business" but unknown to me was that Waise has a long line of films to his name. However I think this is actually his worse series, though this isn't by any means a negative manner. I think his acting before has been interesting and engaging but this time his character is slightly under expectation, Waise also doesn't perform it to the best of his abilities I think. Anyway I like the relationship Waise and Rebecca has it is a sweet back theme to the main leads and I think they work well together.
Sammul Chan and Selena Li (Vincent and Choi Yuk):
I can't really say much on their relationship because I haven't actually seen much of them as most of the time when I see the series it is mainly Ella and Kenneth anyway I like what happened in their relationship today with the e-mails thing. I think they have an interesting chemistry but I need to see more on it.
Queenie Chu and Kwok Fung (Noel and Bak To):
Hmmm I'm slightly shocked that TVB has done this but it's better that Queenie gets exposure as she needs it as she has lost some years with the Joey Leung thing. Anyway I'm happy that Queenie is finally acting again as I like her but the relationship is definitely lacking as I think TVB wouldn't dare emphasize on this relationship as it will probably cause a ratings crisis.
Ella Koon and Kenneth Ma (MK and Lily):
The thing is Ella doesn't seem to have any other looks that she could make with her face so I don't know about her acting yet but I love Ella and Kenneth's chemistry and scenes. Overall great chemistry even though their acting isn't excellent.
June Chan and Power Chan (Lai Na and Man Kam):
Like their relationship mainly because I like them anyway, I love Power Chan's character and I like June anyway (remember her in War and Beauty).

A Journey Called Life Episode 3
I thought this episode was less interesting than the previous two but anyway what strikes me most about this series is Linda Chung, she is becoming a very good actress and at such a young age, not saying her acting in this role is perfect but it definitely shows she has breadth in her acting compared to some other TVB actors her age. She will definitely go far in TVB as she also has a good image. I thought this episode was just a filler and developer to be honest as it was leading into the story of Steven's past and that was about it. It however also brought in (full scale) the villains of the show which we all know were Linda Chung's evil step mother (It sounds so much like Cindarella). I am totally confused by the Linda's father and her mother though, it's confusing is Linda's mother the wife or is she the mistress as why is Linda so young compared to the evil woman's children! Or are they not Linda's fathers children (I'm confused and I think you are as well). Well all I know is that I don't like the father, he is the type of character that TVB uses over and over again, the husband that is too frightened to speak back to their second wife. Anyway I'm eagerly awaiting for the Steven/Linda relationship to develop as they look to have chemistry (for some reason I think Linda will have chemistry with any actor). Kent Cheng has been seen a good return with this role but I think his eyes are stiff when acting also I cringe sometimes when TVB actors say english! I'm also not sure that Raymond Cho and Kent Cheng are compatible as father and son. Anyway so many Mr HK contestants are being promoted I just hope one of them will be good (Otto Chan was ok in this episode).

Currently the series are Tai Chi (Mid-way) and A Journey Called Life (likely to blog as It just started). Oh Survivors Law is also airing but it is halfway already.
After these three D.I.E. and The Silver Chamber of Sorrows will air (these two will be my next projects).
Other series air at earlier times (repeat ones) so I may or may not be able to watch about them.

Some things I'm watching
Haven't posted in a while so I decided to catch up with things I'm currently watching.
Basically I'm about 2 months behind on TVB episodes (if you understand what I mean) as I have TVB in Europe.
Anyway I'm watching American Idol, America's next top Model, The Apprentice (UK) and that's about it.
American Idol was a shock because Michael Johns left but his performance was shattering (not in a good way), so I'd rather he left than Syesha, my favourite even though America doesn't.
Kirsty needs to go she is definitely at the bottom of the pack
Never expected Brooke to make the top 6 but she won't be in final 3 for sure (hopefully).
David Cook and Carly had a bad performance so I think both are dying down. Jason is also one of my favourites hopefully he will be in the top. Always though Michael Johns was a top 6 candidate but anyway. I think David ins't as good as everyone thinks he is, he just has one type of song and the rest he makes them sound wierd.
If Syesha goes I'll be cheering for Jason Castro because both I don't like David A as much as everyone else, Carly hasn't be amazing very often, Brooke is good sometimes but not a winner, Kristy I don't even have to say, so Jason and David C but David C is not as good as everyone says he is in my opinion!

In ANTM currently Dominique, Whitney, Anya, Katarzyna, Stacy-Ann, Lauren, Fatima are the final 7, next week will be top 6 and therefore they will go to Italy. I think Lauren is the worst, I don't understand her supposedly high fashion appeal, if that is high fashion I think I'll stop watching ANTM! Dominique for me was actually better at the start (controversial to most I'm sure) but currently she is dropping for me. Another controversy is that I think Fatima is currently the best with her two awesome shots the past two weeks. Stacy-Ann and Lauren should be next to leave. Katarzyna and Whitney are also good whilst Anya is OK but judges love her so she will probably be a Joanie or something like that (get to final and lose - I don't think she'll win as she doesn't have the personality ANTM likes).
I think the winner will be someone who strikes out at you and currently personality wise it's Whitney (which would be awkward as she is a plus size model).
Finalist would probs be Katarzyna or Anya - loved by judges but doesn't have the strong personality.
Third should be Dominique (thinking of Jade here)
I think Lauren would go like Heather did last year - because her walk is awful.
Oh yeah I haven't talked about Stacy Ann, if she wins I'll be shocked but she is actually a possible candidate as she has a striking personality, the judges thinks she is improving etc.
Dominiques fate - she will probably do a Jade! Meaning come at third. unless she fails in the top 6.
Whitney - if Tyra doesn't mind a plus size model then she is actually favourite to win!
Anya - Judges love her so will probably come at second as she doesn't have the strongest of personalities.
Katarzyna - If Anya leaves before her then she'll probably be second.
Stacy-Ann - actually if we take everything into equation it's scary to say she is the favourite to win.
Lauren - May make it into top 6 but will fail in first hurdle.
Fatima - If she can be on the good side of the judges and make it further than Dominique then she will be third.
Who will go next week, it will be difficult to decide from seeing what has happened in past seasons it will probably be either Dominique/Fatima or Whitney/Stacy-Ann
It's difficult I appreciate it as nobody is an outright winner but it will either be ones of the loud mouth ones or if Tyra doesn't want a Plus size it would be whitney.

Lindi, Jennifer and Lee are my favourite currently because they look strong and have a good personality (not saying that they'll win -too early to say but I have to say the generally less publicised ones at the start win! and these are the three including Helene)
