End of a chapter

I've decided to end this blog and my other 2 in order to focus on one where I'd put everything I want to write about in it. It comes after little thought last night actually but I think I want to start afresh and really focus on making my blog look good. It seems weird cause I spent like 1 hours blogging on this one yesterday but this is my decision. I'll be starting my new blog right away and it'll encompass everything that I want to put in whether it be sport, personal views, TV etc etc, but hopefully now that I only have one blog I could focus on making it look the best.
Best Wishes to everyone (even if it is just a few!)

Oh! My Girl!

Before I say anything about this drama I just realized my last post was my first of 2009! Well I lost the opportunity already!
Oh! My Girl! is my third drama of Mokomichi's but before I go any further I do still think Zettai Kareshi stays high on the podium for being my favourite Mokomichi drama!
Anyway personally for me this drama didn't set off on a good foot with me, I found that I didn't like much of the casts acting to be honest and I thought the whole thing seemed to be lacking a good production value - however slash me for this if you want I liked Mokomichi!
However as the story progressed I began liking it! It made me keep watching which was not what Gokusen did for me! That's why I rate this drama as slightly better than Gokusen; I'd say maybe 0.5 points ahead of Gokusen 2 if it were out of 10. Personally I'm quite dissapointed with the ratings because it was a good steady drama in the end but I guess it didn't have a good time slot either.

So lets talk about the characters
Kotaru (Mokomichi): I think most of you would say I've become a blind fan of Mokomichi now as I yet again think Mokomichi was one of the best actors/actresses in this drama if not the best, but I just liked his character a lot - somebody that's not afraid to speak his mind, passionate about everything. Personally I found that he did the right thing all the way through the story even though the director wanted us to say "oh Kotaru should have been more caring". Anyway his performance in the last performance was really strong and if I were to have one memory of this drama it would definitely be the final episode where he played the angry Kotaru with Ann's mum and the caring and loveable Kotaru with Ann.

Ann: For a child actress she did well but I did find her at points slightly awkward. I didn't like some of her crying scenes, yeh some were very good but some where she showed her teeth looked very awkward to me. I definitely disliked her at the start when she was all spoilt and selfish - even if she was a child she should have some restraints. Her snuch up attitude made me dislike her a lot in the first few series and the two defining scenes were when she just threw all of Nomoru's food on the floor and when she was destroying Kotaru's things with the pillow. Though I do not approve of slapping a child I think that is what she needed and the Japanese have a different view on that anyway. But I gradually began to like her as you expected when she became less selfish and showed more emotions. However the transition wasn't good as I think she changed a bit too quickly - which is yet again because the series is too short. One question - why isn't she in school of receiving some sort of home education?

Yasuno (Coworker): Like Yankumi's grandfather in Gokusen 2 I personally believe Yasuno's character was like, however the good thing is that she had her little story as well. I loved her and Nomoru and in a way I was distraught that little Nomoru wasn't on screen afterwards but it was a good ending to that subplot. Yasuno was definitely one of the high lights of the show.

Mineko (Manager of Ann): Personally I didn't like her acting at the start of the series but I began to like her (but very slowly) Her defining moment for me funnily enough was in the very last minutes of the drama when she was alone with Kotaru. In actual fact I think the story could have done without her or had her as a smaller character but don't get me wrong I did like her towards the end.

The Shibuya duo!: Nope they were a total pointless mother and son to me. I don't really see the point of their roles in the drama and I was so annoyed when I watched most of their early scenes because I kept on thinking - "Don't they have anything better to do?" So annoyed that the son is younger than me! I'm getting old!!!!!!!

Chief: I got to liking him, which is really the overall opinion of mine towards this drama (I got to liking it). He was caring but in still the Chief, his character was real but yet had his moments where I thought he was a bit too dramaticized! But I still liked his character.

BIWA!!!!: Oh my god I have never seen such a dog in my life! I don't even know how to desribe what I want to desribe! Anyway I loved Biwa!

President: Yet again I got to like him a little, personally I don't really like either of Ann's parents but I liked him more because he cared for Ann even with his cold exterior. Though his part of the story is probably the most dramatical of the lot I did come to like how he was the father but wasn't the typical father character.

Iishida: Didn't really like him in any point of the drama basically because he disliked Kotaru! He was just annoying because he unintentionally tried to harm Kotaru and Ann. He's a real character but I'd rather he wasn't!

Ann's mum: I so dislike her that I don't even remember her name lol and I just watched it! Her voice trumped Hitomi in Gokusen 2 1000000 times! Her voice was so annoying that I couldn't believe it was so annoying' the worst thing is she isn't even a young character like Hitomi was! I didn't like her antics and how she disturbed the serene atmosphere of Ann and Kotaru - to be honest I'd loved it if Ann and Kotaru could just have a few more scenes where they are just playing about and enjoying being together rather than in some emotional storyline, but anyway I'm diverging. She was just so not the mother I wished for and I didn't like how her character could just change and it's all lovely dovely again! All in all my least liked character.

Overall I thought the ending was sweet and real. It didn't jump to anything which is what most dramas in TVB do towards the end. I liked how Kotaru and Ann had to leave each other as in real life that would have happened. I liked how Kotaru and Mineko seemed to be warming to each other slowly even though they didn't really show or realise it in the end. I liked how everything seemed to wrap up but there was still space for your imagination to run wild. Overall it was a sweet little drama which had its flaws but everything has its flaws!

Gokusen 2

Well I watched Gokusen 2 a few days ago but I thought I'd talk about it. At first I watched it because Hayami Mokomichi was in it and if you don't know why read my previous post. Despite all the negative comments I watched it anyway but personally I thought it wasn't as bad as the comments said it was, OK I haven't watched Gokusen 1 which everyone seems to be screaming about but I think the best thing to do is think of the series as a stand alone one but with similar characters; that allows you to give a more accurate opinion because 9 times out of 10 people dislike the second series because they compare it with the first and pick out everything that is different.
Anyway I personally thought it was an OK/Good series which if you turn that into a score would be about 7 or 8 out of 10; even though Hayami Mokomichi's role was not as large as I wanted it to be!
To me Gokusen 2 was a typical old style Jdrama to me that I'd watched on TVB (Hong Kong channel) all those years back; it has a simple plot, a slight adorable factor about it and it has a repetitive plot in each episode. Skimming through some reviews I did agree with a lot of things people had said and one thing I picked up was how each episode has the basic structure of Yankumi saving her students who are in desperate need of help whilst having a little in between scene with her family. Yes this part did become apparent and slightly annoying towards the middle of the series but to me this is also its charm, it is a simple plotline reminiscent of some Jdrama classics and I think actually deliberately repetitive.
Well now onto the story it was definitely very predictable but sometimes predictable is good when your just looking fro some light-hearted comedy. Let's start with Yankumi played by Nakama Yukie. I loved her portrayal of the goofy and righteous Yankumi who didn't mind getting her hand dirty for her students - perfect teacher yeh! I loved her little detours/moments because they were so adorable and to think how two hairbands and a pair of glasses change someones appearance so much is amazing! I think her character was perfect for this type of drama as it is a light hearted approach to filming such a drama.
Kamenashi Kazuya played Odagiri Ryu, personally I didn't like the character but I did think his performance was overall good. In the end he appeared much less than I thought he would. I didn't really like his character because I think he was too different from his classmates but I don't know whether I would have rather seen him as a talkative guy!
Akanishi Jin played Yabuki Hayato, I liked him more than Odagiri but yet again I don't know why he just didn't attract my attention as much as some other characters. Personally I think I liked Yankumi's family more than Class 3D in general maybe because they had more of a comedy connection.
Hayami Mokomichi played Tsuchiya Hikaru, Yep you guessed it he was my favourite of the 5 main students but not only because it was HM who played it but because I seem to like these type of characters in dramas (don't really know why though!) I loved his episode about him and the student and how he tried to protect her, but anyway back to the point. Talkative and guys that are fun to be around seem to be what I look for in every story whether it be a drama or a novel so that's why I think I liked him the most.
Koike Teppei played Takada Keita, well I liked him and actually his little story arc was probably one of my favourites but I always seemed to think that him and Hyuuga were below the other 3 I don't know why but that's just my opinion.
Koide Kesuke played Hyuuga Kosuke, personally I didn't like him really; his little story arc further solidified that for me.
From this point forward I'm just going to say the character names or roles.

The Vice principal: personally I disliked him but at least he had his redeeming features towards the end, but I still dislike how he continuously reminds us that trash will always be trash - actually you can recycle a lot of trash and then it will be very very useful ;) !

Yankumi's Grandfather: someone liked that had to be in the drama, the person that told the lead to follow her heart - someone that we all expect and actually vital to the storyline in my opinion.

Asakura Tetsu: I loved how he had a crush on Yankumi, just a perfect little sub story for this type of drama. However I'd loved if he could have developed something with Hitomi the english teacher!

Kuma: I loved him and I loved that he was from Gokusen 1's main student cast. Anyway he was the perfect character for such a drama; his name, his appearance, his job every part of him worked in this drama! But I wasn't as happy with his story arc though.

English Teacher Hitomi: Er her voice annoyed me at the start, I just couldn't believe such a voice was possible! But I came to be Ok with it in the end. Her character was OK but I find it totally annoying how she changes heart and emotions so frequently!

Baba Sensei: He reminded me of Derek Kwok whilst I was writing this for some reason?!?!
Anyway I liked Baba and his attempts to woo Yankumi but yet again his story wasn't complete because everything rested on the 3D Students, but hopefully it will in Season 3.

Kujo-sama: Not a favourite of mine and personally I don't have much to say about him but I looked on his dramawiki profile and boy does he work his butt off!

Anyway I think this is about it on the characters. My final words on this are basically repetitive (just like the drama!!!!) The ending was expected, how they all graduate safe and sound, but I would definitely like them to take a few of the characters (Yankumi definitely being one of them) and develop a story on it that is not about school life - just make it slightly different; how Yankumi still cares for them afterwards, it would definitely be a hard drama to write but I think if done well it would be something really nice to watch.

Zettai Kareshi

This was a series I wanted to watch in a long time but I just didn't get around to watching it. However I finally watched it yesterday (yes I spent the whole day watching it!) and I was literally glued to the screen.
I loved the acting by most of the actors and actresses so I really do recommend this series as it has a simple and easy to follow plot. It has the right mix of laughter and romance as well as other genres packed into one. Favourite characters are definitely Hayami Mokomichi for being the attraction of the series and Sakai Ayana for playing such a lovable role. I found it truly difficult to dislike any of the characters because there are things you can relate to with all of them - OK maybe 02 played by Abe Tsuyoshi. But honestly the relationship between Hayami Mokomichi and Aibu Saki (lead actress) was great. But if you're easily heartbroken I'm not sure the ending is for you as I found myself quite emotional for a long time after I finished the series.
To get more information or confused with what I've written go to Dramawiki for more info ;)

Now I actually want to delve slightly into the story so there are definitely SPOILERS from now on!
Firstly to all the manga fans I haven't read it but after reading the first two chapters today I thought the drama seemed better because it was sweeter and made more sense in that type of environment rather than in school.
I loved Hayami Mokomichi's character and acting, his undying love for Riiko reminded me of Raymond Lam's love to Linda Chung in Heart of Greed (OK slightly different but they both died in the end!) He was definitely why I watched on and on without hesitating. His scenes were sweet and funny whilst watching him slowly become more human was totally refreshing and delightful. That is why I have been digging around for any of his other series, which has lead me to Gokusen 2, though recommendations for this show was weak I watched it anyway, but that's for later.
Mizushima Hiro played the third person to the Tenjo Night/Izawa Riiko storyline. Personally I didn't really like him because I loved Hayami but in truth he was a commendable character who actually I always felt Riiko would choose from how the story was developing but the amount of episodes in the series meant that Riiko would have to change her love interest in less than 5 minutes (and that is the main criticism of this series - Jdramas are tooooooo short!)
Aibu Saki the lead actress was very cute in her portrayal but her character was annoying in the early stages when she continuously pushed aside Tenjo. I'm so sad they didn't live happily ever after!
Sasaki Kuranosuke played the techician guy to Tenjo Night (if you don't know by now Tenjo is a robot). His character was essential in my opinion as he was an initial link between Riiko and Tenjo's story. I did find his acting at times over dramatic but a little over the top is good I guess for a lighthearted romcom!
Ueno Natsuhi played the evil inbetweener (basically classified as the bitch!) However I actually liked her during the middle because she actually acknowledged Tenjo rather than Riiko! However her character changes 180 degrees so quickly you wouldn't believe it, yet again if this was a 16-20 episodes series this point could have been developed upon.
Sakai Ayana was loveable and cute and it's a shame she couldn't have been with Soshi because I'd rather one couple have a good ending than none. She was the girl that you'd expect to come in as the superbitch but she was ubercool and increased the dramas likeability.
Maya Miki played a bar owner where the main characters went a lot of the time. I really liked her at the start because she was insightful; which is always handy in such a drama, but when she had her concerns over Riiko and Tenjo I started to get annoyed with her because I'd thought she would be the one to say "reach out and grab what you truely love" rather than "you know you can't love a robot", anyway I still liked her character in the end as it increases the depth of the drama.
Overall a big thumbs up from me and an even bigger thumbs up to Hayami Mokomichi for making me make him my first J-Idol actor (did that make sense!?!?!?). Oh by the way does anyone think Hayami Mokomichi looks like Bosco Wong at certain angles?

X Factor!

I haven't blogged in a while, school has just been so strenuous recently but anyway I'm back with the X Factor final! I am sohappy Alexandra, I had my doubts on whether she would win but I always knew she was the best in the competition. She just blew everyone away with her performances tonight, her rendition of Hallelujah was so sweet and powerful; mesmerizing. I also LOVED her duet with Beyonce - my favourite artist!
Well after that euphoria lets go back to the other contestants (not just the finalists).
JLS - They were never in my favourites list instead I always liked them. They had a few great performances but I always felt that they lacked a vital component. Though they produced variation in their performances it always felt the same to me and personally I actually felt they were the weakest out of the final 3! Amazing considering I dislike Eoghan.

Eoghan - Well I remember all the way back at Week 1 where I actually liked Eoghan but over the weeks he just developed into something I didn't really like! lol. I'm just mot a fan of the high school musical thingy but I felt he performed well in the finals - I especially liked his performance with Boyzone.

Diana - I was so sad when she left because she was one of my favourites and I always thought she was going to get to the final, however I do have to say I felt her performances on the whole went slightly downhill because I thought she was FANTASTIC at the start but then she lost that sparkle.

Ruth - Another one of my favourites but I knew she wouldn't get to the finals, I hope she does well in the future with her career because she is a true performer.

Rachel - Someone who I liked and had full of hope for but she never stepped up to it to what I thought she could achieve. She has a very raw talent but I advice her to get some coaching lessons to fully understand her voice.

Daniel - Well, well, well. I actually thought he didn't have too bad a voice but when Austin left before him I just couldn't accept it.

Laura - Personally I was slightly shocked that she left before Daniel but to be honest I never really liked her voice. I still don't really understand the craze over her. One of my friends said she was a crossover between Duffy and Adele and I actually agree anyway I hope the best for her.

Austin - I was in absolute shock when he left, he deserved much better than that - he should have at least reached the Top 6. I hope he does well in his career and I think if the judges saw how much Rachel had left in her they would have voted for Austin instead - on a side note I'm totally amazed how short he is - he's like half a head shorter than Aston!

Scott - I liked him and to be honest he should have been saved instead of Daniel but he would have never won!

And then the two girl bands I barely even remember them!

Anyway diverting a litte bit but onto Strictly Come Dancing I am so happy that nobody left today as if that happened I would be sure that Tom would go leaving the two girls in the final! However the show may have just let Tom runaway with the title! Anyway I was so sad Austin left because he was fantastic and the only reason they voted him off was because Austin would have won the title easily! Anyway hope next week would be good because I was slightly dissapointed with the dances this week.

TVB ANNIVERSARY AWARDS RESULTS

This is probably one of the years where most are happy with the results, though I haven't seen the show myself I have scowered around for the results and have found many sites to have live updating. Sadly the stupid builders blocked out satelite so I can't watch TVB!
Anyway Best Actor was won by Ha Yu which was totally expected, with all the rumours etc it was difficult for Ha Yu not to win, Raymond has many more chances to win this award but Ha Yu will not. I think Ha Yu does deserve this award, but not for Joe Bao, in my heart this award was given to him for his portrayal of Bao Bao instead. I always knew that the MR characters would make the top 5 but I thought Damian Lau would have been given the benefit of the doubt, but I guess they needed to put Kevin in their cause Damian was in last year.
Best Actress was expected also and I AM SO HAPPY THAT MICHELLE WON!!!!!!
However why didn't Moses present this award? It's sad that this award didn't get as much attention as Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress did cause Michelle truly deserves such an award, I've loved her since Mind Out Own Business (the funniest character in the whole world! Cheng Yu Chu!!!!!) Anyway I am extremely amazed that Sonija was added to the Top 5, firstly I don't think she deserves it but secondly I thought TVB would opt for Charmaine instead! As well as that Susanna was barred from the Top 5 which I didn't expect at all! But I'm so happy that Linda got into the Top 5.

For Best Supporting I was shocked that Him Law and Chow Chung were in the Top 5 Johnson Lee, Oscar Leung and Stephen Au should have replaced them or even Kenneth Ma (love Kenneth just not in the Master of Tai Chi). I'm so dissapointed that Johnson wasn't chosen for his portrayal of BT, ot because I thought he was the best Supporting but because of wanted Catch Me Now to win an award - Koni Lui should have been nominated in one of those random awards! Anyway I'm quite happy to have predicted 4 of the Top 5 here - stupid Him Law lol - and it's fantastic that Karena Lam presented this award!
Best Supporting Actress was always going to be for Tavia because if she didn't win an award I'm sure TVB would be receiving hat mail! Anyway it's amazing that out of the Top 5 4 were for MR! I really wanted Lee Heung Kam to win something as she was really bubbly in MR, however I'm really happy for Tavia to win it also. I guess Tavia is now in the group of actresses who are targeting the Best Actress award along with Fala Chen, Bernice Liu etc. as Kate seems to be above them in TVB's books!

I'm happy for Raymond to have won the Favourite Character award cause his character was loved by the masses. I'm slightly shocked that Michael Tse was in the final bunch cause I thought Bosco would have been part of the Top 5 especially since War of In Laws II was actually a series which got high ratings but was totally shut out from any recognition.
I'm amazed I only got two of the predictions right here, but I guess Charmaine had to be nominated here or she wouldn't be nominated at all! But I did think they would nominate Myolie in this cause she has been out of the limelight for a long time and looks to be one of the falling fa dans - I think she is probably on Kate Tsui's tier at the moment in TVB. Anyway Louise won which was expected since Michelle won the Best Actress.

I don't even want to talk about Most Improved Actor cause I think any of the other 4 would have been a more deserving winner than Wong Cho Lam! I'm happy Nancy won most Improved because her role in Legend of the Demi Gods and The Silver Chamber of Sorrows were truly memorable and I really liked her, also her participation in Strictly come Dancing has gained her a few fans so she was a deserved winner. I am so relieved Tavia didn't win this award cause I really don't want to see her win this award twice - it doesn't look good on the CV! I hope Selena and Sharon could get some recognition next year as they truly did well this year. Nancy and Selena would have been good for me.
I also think there should be a Best Scene award - don't you think! Since last year when Raymond died in Heart of Greed I always thought a Best scene award would be fantastic. If there was a Best Scene award this year I would chose...
Catche Me Now - where Sharon cried out when BT died
The Silver Chamber of Sorrows (I'm slightly amazed this wasn't part of the long list for Best Drama!) where Christine was going to kill Nancy (Still gives me goosebumps to hear Nancy cry)
Moonlight Resonance - Michelle's plans were defoiled, it was the ultimate climax - and the scene which got the best ratings.
Well I'm happy Myolie and Raymond won the two random awards (weird that Susie Wong presented one of them!) Anyway I hope Michelle Yim continues to win awards throughout her career cause she truely deserves it - and maybe in ten to twenty years time she could win the Lifetime Achievement! And whilst I'm on that I'm amazed Paul Chun won this years award cause comparatively he is much younger than the past winners of this award and on top of that he is still acting a dramas! I would have thought Lee Heung Kam would have been a better choice.

TVB Anniversary Awards

Saturday is the big event so I decided to see who my favourites were and who I think would win. Bold indicates winners in the respective category

Best Actor
I like Kenneth and I thought he did well in SLII but I wouldn’t pick him as Best Actor to be honest and out of the recent list of 100 TVB Actors/Actresses he only got 2 votes from and both were co stars. Roger Kwok is definitely not in my favourites but it seems like he still has some force inside TVB as he garnered 10 votes from colleagues. I really liked Catch Me Now (to an extent more than Moonlight Resonance) but I wouldn’t choose Damian Lau as Best Actor. Sadly Frankie Lam only got 1 vote and that was from his loyal wife! Michael Miu isn’t my cup of tea either as I think he’s too stiff. Ha Yu would be my alternative but currently I think he is most likely going to win the award, with comments on him not rejoining TVB unless they give him the award and stuff. Moses Chan has receded into the limelight this year even though I thought he acted really well! Raymond Lam is my favourite but to be honest I think it is likely he’ll win favourite character award as firstly he’s still very young and most winners are in 30+ secondly he isn’t likely going to cut his contract with TVB like Ha Yu could – funnily enough both don’t seem to have that many series next year – but I really hope Raymond wins it next year! Bobby Au Yeung has very little chance, his best chance to win any award was last year but he bummed that up. Kevin Cheng has improved in my mind and I would actually put him in most improved (it would be so funny if he was in that category), but anyway I don’t think he’ll win either.

My Top 5: Raymond Lam, Ha Yu, Moses Chan, Kenneth Ma, Damian Lau
Actual Top 5 (Speculation): Raymond Lam, Ha Yu, Damian Lau, Roger Kwok, Moses Chan

Best Actress
Liza Wang is a huge outsider and an outsider for me to; though I liked her portrayal of Ophelia I wouldn’t give it any awards! Sonija Kwok has the single support of Wong Hei but I guess that’s enough! Linda Chung did well and I would definitely put her in my Top 5 but not a winner. Nancy Sit is the only one without any support in the Poll! I feel so sorry for her cause even Kate Tsui got some votes for her! Charmaine Sheh is unlikely to be the winner whatever happens. Kate Tsui – I’m asking myself why she’s in here (I don’t hate her though, opinion purely based on the fact she’s not a Top Actress yet). Sheren Tang is definitely a great actress but this year I don’t think she deserves the award – however if you were to count previous works she should win the award cause she has missed out twice in 2004 and 2006. Then we have the three MR’s, I wouldn’t mind if either of the 3 win – actually I think if Louise Lee wins I’ll be slightly disappointed cause she’ll be a two time winner! However I think the race is between Michelle and Louise this year.

My Top 5: Michelle Yim, Louise Lee, Susanna Kwan, Linda Chung, Sheren Tang
Actual Top 5 (S): Michelle Yim, Louise Lee, Susanna Kwan, Liza Wang, Charmaine Sheh

Best Supporting Actor
Not too interested in this award but the only thing I have to say is that I like Kenneth Ma but not in The Master of Tai Chi!
My Top 5: Derek Kwok, Wayne Lai, Paul Chun, Johnson Lee, Oscar Leung (if Stephen Au and Kenneth Ma were nominated for different characters I would put them in and take out Paul and Oscar)
Actual Top 5: Wayne Lai, Kenneth Ma, Chow Chung, Tsui Wing, Derek Kwok
It was actually really difficult to predict some of the top 5; this is what I decided in the end, whilst I think Wayne is very likely to win.

Best Supporting Actress
This is the toughest group for me but this is what I’d say. Joyce is great but sadly she is unlikely to make a splash in the awards. Bernice is Ok but is very unlikely to win if she didn’t even win last year when so many people were routing for her. Sharon Chan is an unlikely to win this award but I think she’s getting there – maybe in the next 2 years. Nancy Wu is an unlikely outsider but I think she’s doing really well; I especially like her in TSCOS and LOTDG. Claire Yiu is Ok but not a contender, same goes towards Crystal Tin. Tavia Yeung is definitely the one to beat here. I doubt Fala Chen will win again – even though she did better this year than last. Kate is an unlikely outsider whilst Lee Heung Kam is my favourite.

My Top 5: Lee Heung Kam, Tavia Yeung, Fala Chen, Nancy Wu, Joyce Tang (sadly Sharon and not so sadly Kate were edged out for me)
Actual Top 5 (S): Lee Heung Kam, Tavia Yeung, Fala Chen, Kate Tsui, and Nancy Wu

Favourite Male Character
My Top 5: Kenneth Ma, Bosco Wong, Derek Kwok, Raymond Lam, Ha Yu?
Actual Top 5 (S): Bosco Wong, Roger Kwok, Ha Yu, Raymond Lam, Kevin Cheng

Favourite Female Character
My Top 5: Myolie Wu, Christine Ng, Louise Lee, Fala Chen, Linda Chung
Actual Top 5 (S): Liza Wang, Myolie Wu, Louise Lee, Fala Chen, and Susanna Kwan

Most Improved Actor
My Winner: Derek Kwok or Oscar Leung
Actual Winner: Wong Cho Lam (100% sure)

Most Improved Actress
My Winner: Selena Li/Sharon Chan/Nancy Wu (I would choose Tavia but I think she shouldn’t be nominated in an award which is generally for the up and coming actresses).
Actual Winner: Don’t know, probably Tavia Yeung though
