The Apprentice Series 4

Now that I think of it I should have blogged about this series but I didn't for some reason even when I wrote so much about it. I am so happy Lee won he was my favourite from the start and finally my favourite wins after both Saira and Ruth failed to do that.
I don't want to go into too much detail about the final 4 as it'll take me too long but I thought Alpha deserved their win, Renaissance had a good concept but they just threw the money factor down the drain - anyone can produce brilliant concepts when they have a professional designer telling them what to do and a lot of money!
Alex was the worse in the final - he tried to make Helene look bad but in the end he was the stupid one, I liked him at the start but as the series went on I just started to dislike him and nothing he did made me like him - most annoying thing is his constant reminder of him being 24, I don't care if you're 24 age doesn't matter in this business!
Anyway Helene did a better job towards the end but it wasn't enough to save their asses.
Claire and Lee deserved their win and Lee deserved his overall win.
I didn't like Claire at the start as she seemsed all talk and no work. I think it was around the mid competition where I honestly saw a different side which I liked and I saw her attributes. She did well but in the end I felt Lee was the stronger candidate.
Of Interest: I actually made a list and I've agreed with only 6 firings by Sir Alan out of 15!
Here is how I ranked the 16 in terms of how much I liked them rather than how good they were in business.
1st: Lee - my favourite by far and equally the best candidate! Lovely personality and passionate about his opinions.
2nd Raef - You just can't dislike him, Ok at the start I felt he was slightly annoying but that was just misunderstanding, he truly is a likeable person who didn't deserve to go when Michael was still in.
3rd Lindi - Some may say "who is she" well Lindi was one of the earlier candidates who got fired. I just liked her. She was always my favourite girl, though she had some silly ideas I felt she was very direct and by no means vindictive - a straight talking girl with a big heart.
4th Lucinda - Candidates like Lucinda normally leave me split, at the start I felt sorry for her though felt she was no good for the job, in the end I didn't feel sorry for her but felt she was a strong candidate. I liked her because she was different but she was not a team player indeed! It was just a joy to watch her confrontations.
5th Sara - We now come into the slightly grey area where the rankings are interchangeable. Sara is 5th because I don't dislike her and have never disliked her (which is the case for some of the people below her) therefore for that sole reason she places at 5th.
6th Jennifer - I don't know about Jennifer but like Sara I didn't dislike her and actually found her to be one of my favourites at the start. She wasn't made for the job but I felt she was OK and had nothing which made me hate her.
7th Claire - Yep another girl! Anyway some may think she places quite low on this chart and for me it splits two ways. If I placed her for the last few weeks she may have been in the top 4 but in the first few weeks she would have been in the bottom 4, so take an average and we reach 7th! Anyway Claire rose in my books basically but it was a bit too late for her to make my top 3.
8th Helene - I didn't really have much of an opinion on her for the whole of the series, however at one small point I did find her annoying. She is still as much of a mystery to me I think but I place her here basically because she reached the final and I didn't find it that annoying so I must have liked her in some aspect.
9th Jenny - She kind of has two sides of her. The nice side is very sweet but the vindictive side is definitely evil but very entertaining. I didn't like her confrontation with Lucinda but that is basically it. In the end I liked her more than hating her.
10th Shazia - Ok basically don't know her! Probably would have placed higher but she went too early for me to form an opinion on her.
11th Simon - So all the girls are above the last 6 boys! Anyway Simon places here because yeah he is likeable but I just don't really feel for people who put themselves in a shambles, he was too passionate in the wrong way and in the end I didn't have a developed opinion on him.
12th Alex - I tried hardly to keep him higher but enough was enough, I couldn't put up with him anymore and he eventually placed here. He was annoying during the competition and I felt he was the weakest of the finalists. He should definitely not have reached the finals in my opinion.
13th Ian - He left early and on a bad note so he places 13th. I didn't like the I can't say the word "loser" thing that was just obnoxious.
14th Kevin - argh... this guy got on my nerves and honestly he just didn't know what to do. He is so annoying and really manipulative! Didn't like him one bit.
15th Nicolas - who! It's Nicolas de Lacy-Brown! Still don't know he is, he is the guy that went the first week. That obnoxious, annoying, vindictive rat actually avoided the bottom. He was so smug with himself that I hated him from the start and because of that he made me like Alex which was the stupidest thing I ever did! Nicolas annoyed me to hell I really hated him.
16th Michael - His personality is vile and his business acumen is the smallest you could ever imagine. People don't have to be evil in business which he was. What topped it off for me was Sir Alan keeping him for so long when it was obvious he could do nothing right! Well At least Sir Alan admitted his mistake in the You're Hired and Why I fired them program. Anyway he'll go down as one of the most hated candidates in The Apprentice history and the first one to actually make Sir Alan think twice!
