DESPERATE 4Housewives! (may Contain Spoliers!)

Wo, Wo, Wo, Wo, Wo firstly let me make this straight this isn't a hidden fantasy that I have been hiding away it is actually about one of my truely favourite TV Shows of all time Desperate Housewives. To all you people who have watched this already good for you but I think it is time that I have my own post that talks about my shock of what I've seen. Today I decided as I had a free day to finish up on some - dirty laundry! After watching to the finale I was left gobsmacked and like I had been in a boxing ring (note: I watched about 6 episodes at once! so the post goes back way way long).

Round 1
Ok I think I'll go with the small things first let's start with... Gabrielle! Though I do feel Gabrielle gives a whole different air to the show I do think her storyline is less dramatic in my point of view compared to Bre and Lynette and in the early stages Susan, however I love how they made Carlos blind, but I don't hope it lasts forever! The dog thing was so cute and I loved it, hate it was so short! I'd love a dog like that! The Ellie storyline was OK but it seemed very wierd towards the end, they were best friends at one point and bitter enemies the next! As well as that her death was kind of iffy! She just didn't seem to play much of a part in anything! I do think that Gabrielle's storyline tries to develop but then they cut it short, it just doesn't seem to develop into a climax - it ends abruptly. However I like the second half of her storyline better than the first because Carlos and Gabby just have this chemistry that make it a joy to watch even if it seems like a small sub plot! I love that she looks drained in the next series and has two kids, it will add a whole lot of dimension to the show.

Round 2
I dedicate story No.2 to Lynette. Firstly I'm more in shock that In Season 5 she will be 50! I felt her storyline was interesting but the Tornado thing was such a waste! I think they brought the tornado at the wrong time because all they wanted was to get rid of Victor! I hate to say it but one important death was needed and Victor wasn't the guy to fulfil it! I liked that Lynette had this fiasco with religion but the biggest thing about this storyline I liked was the Kayla thing. It's something I want to watch but feel in slight agony when I watch it. How horrible was Kayla! I actually don't forgive her even now! and they call Edie a slut! oops bad word. Anyway I felt so annoyed but I also felt it could have dragged on for a bit longer if not for the shortest season to date thing! It will be wierd watching Season 5 with all the Porter kids older, will all 4 be teenagers! I wonder who will play their parts! But now it is going to be wierd because their aren't as many teenagers as we get the previous ones all grown up from the evil 5 years later thing! err... so annoyed about that!

Round 3
Although not shocking I just like Bree so much. The friendly yet slightly deadly relationship with Katherine was always a joy, I just love the sarcasm both of them have, the little pokes at each other which make watching them so enjoyable! I did not like the thing with Orson though, the storyline had built up so much about that and eventually it is just thrown away! I think a huge anticlimax fills it up. However it's going to be different watching Bree be famous in Season 5 as yet again it would be so different from previous seasons!

Round 4
OK shock wasn't in stall for me in Susan's storyline at all until the very end! However I don't think I like the change! Susan's character has just been with so many men that I felt a calming down was what she needed with Mike, but they had to change that didn't they! So I guess Season 5's first plot will begin with Susan and her new love! I did think that the producers were calming down Susan's shocking life but now I realise they are just waiting to develop it for Season 5. I always liked the Mike/Susan relationship it has been since Season 1 and I have liked it since, I did think the mystery was calming down and I do see why they chose to add someone else to the ranks because three women with exactly the same husbands since the beginning maybe a bit to similar! I do feel however that leaving the last two main scenes of Susan as with Mike and her baby and with another man is really bad! I really want to see why this has occured though, though I don't want to see it unless it is because Mike and Maynard die I don't find a good reason for Susan to leave or Mike to leave! I just feel so uncomfortable!

Overall this season has left me wanting for so much more! So many cliffhangers and the thing is their doesn't seem to be a criminal underlying plot in the next season that has been the main focus of all the seasons! What I do want to see if why Mike has been evicted and Katherine ascending to be the 5th desperate housewife - the death of her daughter was so gruesome it was nearly unimaginable! I was just thinking wouldn't they have heard some sort of noise when that happened - it is quite a big wardrobe! Anyway it's good that it will be coming back in September so I just have to sit back in the summer and contemplate what I will be craving on next!

But I left the most annoying thing till last. Rumours and I think are actually quite true is that Desperate Housewives will only be up to Season 7, that makes me really sad. Though I have heard previously that it will only be going up to 2010 when I heard that only 3 seasons were left I felt in slight shock. I watched DH since the beginning and was probably one of the first in my friends to watch it - it has been such an enjoyable series that seeing it end will be awful, I hope it ends well though as I do understand that by the age of 55 (what two of the characters will be nearing) shocking storylines are somewhat minimal!
