Miss Hong Kong 2008

I've decided to do an insert into Miss Hong Kong, I felt dissapointed that I missed the developing weeks of the Miss Chinese International because my Internet was dead so I'm going to dedicate a few posts onto my opinion on this years Miss Hong Kong (n.b. if I ever use MHK it is an acronym for Miss Hong Kong).
Firstly I have to comment on how few contestants their are this year which dissapoints me because I like contests with about 20 or so contestants and each year they are cutting it down! I feel 12 is just too few but if they are going to feature them more then that will be good rather than letting the girls just walk around for 2 minutes and then cutting them down to 10.
Ok the first set of photos (proper photos) I have seen of them are promising, let me describe and evaluate on them.
note: the photos I am looking at now may not be a full representation of the girl so don't criticize if the reality is different.

No.1 - she has a very sharp chin in this photo which reminds me of Aimee Chan, I think this photo is the most beautiful I have seen her. In this photo she looks beautiful though she looks slightly too young in this photo in my opinion.
No.2 - normally she has looked ok or average to me but this photo puts her in a good light, she looks natural and green dress works really well.
No.3 - this photo is average and I know she can look better.
No.4 - This photo is not flattering in my opinion because she is biting her lip and she looks slightly fake but I have seen better photographs.
No.5 - There is just something wierd about her everytime I see this picture, she look good overall but their is just something off about it.
No.6 - She is definitely the weaker 2 this year.
No.7 - She is good but will be over looked in my opinion because she is too ordinary
No.8 - There is something glaringly fake about her but she is beautiful nonetheless.
No.9 - Her eyes, teeth and nose in this photo are just off.
No.10 - She looks like a Tahiti conestant in my opinion. I don't like what I'm seeing.
No.11 - She looks very poised in this photo and looks generally good.
No.12 - I have definitely seen better of her - she looks like a witch in the photo I'm seeing.

The first group photo I see the person to stand out is definitely No.3 who is just so tall compared to the others. I also can't take my eyes off No.8 in this group shot. In this shot I think most look good except for 6, 7, 9 and 10.
I do have to say in group shots No.1 and No.11 don't take the spotlight as much as individual shots. No.5 however stands out better compared to her individual ones, whilst No.7 doesn't looks that great in the group shots.
No.8's smile is just so bright and she looks like a Chinese Doll.
Basically from this first bunch of photos my top half are (as there are 12 I thought it would be best to split them in half)...
No.3 (I always fall for the tall girls - Carrie, Koni, Loretta and now Edelweiss at least that's what I think her name is!)
No.4 (I dunno maybe because there is so much hype around her! However she is a good contestant)
No.5 (She looks gorgeous in some of her group photos)
No.8 (Though there is something glaringly fake she is probably the most beautiful in these photos)
No.11 (She looks educated and not that bad)
No.12 (She looks like she has charm and exudes a personality that seems to be in the last contestant every year (number placing wise))

No.1 and No.2 are current alternatives for my top 6 whilst the others have some way to catch up.

Top 3 (based solely on these photos)
No.8, No.5, No.3 (basically she just stands out!)
