My awakening

I felt that I have let this blog go so now I'm going to take it back because I felt that I wasn't paying much attention to this one. Anyway I think my plan will be scraped for the moment as I just don't have enough time to download the series and watch them and then comment and put screen caps of it as many other blogs also do that - I salute you for your time. Anyway I think I'll do my usual thing and that is to give my very own comment on everything I'm watching.

Firstly ANTM was kind of a shock to me though in the end now that I think of it, it wasn't. Like previous cycles I have said at third will normally be the girl who is considered difficult! e.g. annoying, bitchy, bad personality etc.

Amanda cycle 3 - very difficult as she'll go blind!
(haven't seen cycle 4 and 5 so won't comment)
Jade cycle 6 - considered the bitch of the house
Renee cycle 8 - everyone didn't like her at the start
Jenah cycle 9 - considered to have a bad personality
so who would fill this spot best - that was non other than Fatima the girl who has been through a lot of controversy and is considered an outsider. Though I really wanted her to win I think she just didn't have anything special to give for Tyra - e.g. Anya high fashion and Whitney plus sized.

Then we have the finalist and by this time I knew Whitney had won basically because of past knowledge and also because of how they were airing the finale and how Anya had stuff published already.

Anya was ultimately the second like I knew since probably week 3. She was too good for the competition in the call outs that it was uncannily similar to other top girls. Tyra also never really gives the favourites for the title the chance to win! I've also checked Anya's call out ratio and it is the best of any contestant in any series beating even Joanie, Anya's call out is 0.78 beating Joanie's 0.76 (joanie of Cycle 6)
Previous contestants like her:
Shanon cycle 1 - though I have never watched Cycle 1 I know that Shanon had a better call out rating than Adrianne at the end of the series.
Mercedes cycle 2 - this was different as she had about the same call out as Yoanna but Mercedes got into the final first whilst Yoanna had to go through elimination.
Yaya cycle 3 - nobody really was definite favourite I believe in this cycle but remember Yaya won 5 challenges and was the first to be called out for the final.
Nik cycle 5 - definitely seemed like favourite above Nicole but lost out she was also called first for the finale. Nicole actually has the worst call out for a winner at 0.6 just below Whitney at 0.63.
Joanie cycle 6 - though I love Danielle I have to say Joanie was by far the favourite in call outs and before Anya she had the best call out average at 0.76 above any other winner! Remember she was also called for the final first.
Melrose cycle 7 - the judges seemed to like her more than Caridee and Melrose had a slightly better call out average than Caridee.
Chantal cycle 9 - Chantal and Saleisha had about the same call out ratio actually but Chantal was considered a favourite whilst Saleisha was less so.
Overall I think 7 girls who have won the ANTM title were actually called for the final after nearly being eliminated - so the best is not always going to be the best in the end.

Well Whitney's win did actually come with a slight shock to me even after all these factors as the judges labeled her fake and she had been in the bottom a considerable amount of times. In the end I think the appeal of Whitney was that she was a plus sized model and she in the eyes of the judges did better than Anya in the finale. I have to agree the Covergirl shot she did was timeless and looked like an old movie star however the mouth could have been slightly smaller. Whilst Anya didn't do so well their. However Whitney's final runway in my eyes was a mess, her hands were like pendulums and she was shaking her booty way to much. I felt she was skipping along the runway, whilst Anya though stiff had more of an elegance.
I hope Cycle 11 will give me a new lease of life as I really think the last three winners have been slightly off (no disrespect) I just think Jaslene is a bit to masculine and her look can be awkward at times, Saleisha didn't have a great portfolio and Whitney also. The shot with Tyra is bad as Tyra takes the spotlight far more than Whitney.
Also I looked at Whitney's winners shots and I don't really like them, firstly her beauty shot doesn't look that beautiful! Her shot on the benhc looks kind of wierd as her pout is enormous
What better than to round of the series with my favourite photos. Oh and one thing Whitney says she was big even when she was young but the thing is her past photos aren't that big it looks like she gained weight especially for ANTM! I'll not comment on any of this as even if it is true it is her life - as I've heard many comments about the win being rigged etc.

Worth Quoting (not necessarily favourites but interesting - could even be ones I dislike)
Anya's lingerie shot - it reminded me a lot of Kate Moss and I thought it was a good catalogue shot in my opinion as I could easily see it for something on the high street.
Fatima's Covergirl - It nearly makes my favourites if it was just more on task as this is a beautiful shot but not as much Covergirl in my opinion.
Fatima's shot with Nigel Black and White - nearly made the worst list with her awfully cringing smile.
Fatima's paint shot - this would so easily be in my favourites if only she shaved!
Dominiques plane shot - if she put a bit more expression this would easily be in my favoruites.
Katarzyna's shot with Tyra - her angles are interesting but her face is the worst it has been in any shot!
Katarzyna's Plane Shot - I love the sassyness but their is something essential missing.
Katarzyna's Music Shot - She looked so convincing if only her nose wasn't as stuck up.
Katarzyna's Lingerie - This oozes sex appeal but selling to women I'm not sure - the clothing is also totally covered up!
Lauren's Lingerie - I don't see why Tyra loved it so much! (this applies to most of her other shoots as well especially the music one.
Stacy Ann's paint shot - a bit too much colour if it wasn't for that it would be one of my favourites.
Claire's Homeless Shot - what is it with her hand
Aimee's lingerie shot - it works great but I think her eyes are slightly scary.
Marvita's Lingerie shot - very dominatrix!
Atalya's prelim shot - I really liked that!
